Resize text About Feed The Elderly Foundation

FTEF is a non-sectarian, nonprofit organization that alleviates hunger by efficiently raising funds, accepting donated foodstuff, drugs and cloth and distributing them to identified needy, hungry elders in communities across Nigeria. FTEF is committed to volunteerism, building community relationships and improving the quality of life for elderly Nigerians in need.

FTEF takes very seriously and with unmatched pride its commitment as a responsible non-profit organization that is accountable to communities it serves. We are tackling the challenge of easing hunger in Nigeria in line with the vision of our founder Segun Oyebolu who has committed well over 70% of his personal resources to kick-start the foundation.

As these folks become weak, weary and vulnerable, unable to actively pursue their dreams or independently support their living – the burden is on us to extend love and critical support to the elderly men and women who have served our nation but are now desperately in need of support as they faced increasing battle to halt hunger. If we cannot feed, clothe and ensure their wellness, the joke is on us, all of us!

Hunger knows no bound. At FTEF, we have accepted it as a responsibility to stand in the gap and give a hand to our elderly neighbours irrespective of their location, religious beliefs, political affiliations or personal history. We are non-discriminating and are cheerfully looking forward to raising as many hands as possible out of the severe poverty that poor, elderly folks faced as their income dwindled or ceased altogether.

FTEF provides food vouchers to aged men and women who need help to feed. Our food vouchers can also be used to buy drugs (antibiotics and such others). FTEF also sponsors goodwill clothing, a centre that accepts old cloths from donors, re-prepared these cloths and donate same to needy elders in the immediate community.
